Oil is important for natural hair and locs. My recommendation for Nubian queens and kings with natural hair is to use olive oil, almond oil, vitamin E, and/or Shea butter. These oils are great for shine and for the health of natural hair. Dry hair and a dry scalp will prevent hair from growing increasingly well. Please try to use natural oils versus using oils that contain a variety of ingredients that you are unable to spell or read.

The common question that clients interested in locs ask, “How long will it take for my hair to lock?”. It can take 3 months to a year to lock depending upon your hair texture, products, condition of the hair, and diet. Locking is a slow process and this process requires patience. The less time that you spend watching your locs, the length will appear before you know it. Locks are like children that eventually develop into mature adults. The locking process has phases from baby locs to mature. Enjoy the locking process from the baby loc stage with the frizzes to the smoother mature locs with a variety of styles. The journey can be beautiful if you allow the locking process to take its natural course.

This is our introduction to the blog world. We will share with you hair, beauty and health tips. Thank you for joining us. We want to make your natural hair journey interesting, peaceful, and long. The journey may take a lifetime. Hair Tip of the Day; Moisturize! Natural hair needs consistent moisture. Apply a quality conditioner and relax for thirty minutes under a dryer or a steamer. Moisture will help prevent the hair from being brittle and can repair damaged hair.
